STILL ALIVE
Ok...it's been forever since there has been an update as to what we've been up to. We really apologize but with having to move our practice space and deciding to lay low with shows to write new material and the holidays and blah, blah, blah, excuses, excuses...Sonny's lazy (that's the bottom line hahaha). Anyway this is just to announce that we have our first show of 2006 booked. We'll be at Cookies in Martinsburg, WV on January 7th with Khoura and Ten Year Scar! Not sure if this is the jumpstart to alot of booking in the coming months because we really still want to concentrate on finishing our next demo but we'll see and we'll definitely keep you informed of what's going on.Hope to see alot of people at this bar. It's a fun little place to drink and have a good time listening to some good bands.

We will be playing a Halloween show on October 29th at the Braddock Inn in Braddock Heights, MD. Check our shows page for details. Don't forget that we also have a show this coming weekend at Mainstreet Bar & Grill in Harrisonburg, VA.

NEW SHOW!
Not sure if anyone knew this but we had a show booked last year at the Mainstreet Bar & Grill in Harrisonburg, VA last year, but apparently we were bad luck and the place burnt down right before we had the chance to play. The good news is that they reopened their doors tonight after rebuilding and we booked a show there on October 1 with Khoura. 2 other bands will be announced later and more details to come soon.

Show Postponed...
The show we had scheduled for October 29th is unfortunately postponed to a later date not yet set. The film is still being shot and finished up. We are working on scheduling something on that date up at the Braddock Inn in Braddock Heights, MD. We'll post details when/if that show gets booked.

Show Cancellation...
Just found out that we have to drop off the bill for the show that was scheduled for September 9th at Kelly Mack's. The show is still being held, we just have to drop off the bill for personal reasons. There are 3 kick ass bands still playing that night so go check out Khoura, Dysfigure and Sacred Hate.

Thanks so much to everyone who came out to the last minute show last night at Kelly Mack's. We appreciate the fact that we could turn a bad situation into a good one and still raise about $108 to donate to the charities (American Cancer Society, The Boys and Girls Club, and The Shelter for Abused Women) that we would've been playing for at Motorcycle Mania. Stuck in Kaos should be commended for their hard work in pulling the weekend together.

VENUE CHANGE!!
Message from Stuck in Kaos website

'We don't wanna get into the specifics right now, but for good reason, the venue for tonights show has changed from the Motocycle Mania to being at Kelly Macks!! All the info is updated on our shows page! Unfortunately scaling down to such a small place, we're not gonna be able to fit all the bands that we're scheduled for today on the bill. We hope that all of you guys understand and know that we're trying our hardest to make the best of a bad situation. So for now Tapered Mind, Cyphilis & Stuck In Kaos will be playing. We hope that you guys come out to support and show our boyz from PA that we DO have a great scene here!'

HESSFEST POSTPONED
Unfortunately the show that was scheduled for August 6th which happened to be this year's Hessfest has been postponed to a later date not yet determined. We'll try and keep everyone updated on that show.

NEW BASS PLAYER
A familiar face has joined, well actually rejoined Tapered Mind. We just wanted to welcome him back and thank him for working so hard to be ready under a week for our show last night.Thanks to everyone who showed up to support the bands at Cookies; Flesh Earth, us and Ten Year Scar (who were not scheduled to play but they all happened to be at the show and decided to fill in for Quid Pro Quo who had cancelled at the last minute).

SOME BAD NEWS...
The bad news is Jayson Morgan has decided to part ways with us. The good thing is we're not cancelling any shows because of this set back and we have some options as to who might fill in for him. One of the options could be a permanent fixture in our band and is an old friend.Sorry for the short update. We'll keep you posted.

GREAT NEWS!
Hey we got word that we'll be on the movie soundtrack for The Creightonville Horror. A movie being put out by Sinister Films. We don't have many details but apparently they'd like to shoot a video for the song and have that available on the DVD. Also we'll be playing the release party for the movie on October 29th!!! We'll post more details as we get them in.

NEW SHOWS, STREET TEAM STUFF, AND MORE!!
First off we apologize for the lack of updates but it's been freakin' crazy around here and we've all been busy as crap! Anyway we have a few shows lined up that we are pretty psyched about. Check out all the details for the shows on our shows page. Some shows are still being ironed out so more info on those to come.Next, the first 50 Tapered Mind Mindless Street Team members have joined and so ends the free t-shirt give away! The final group of members will get their shirts very soon...so please be a little more patient. Thanks for everyone's support thus far. It's going to be an exciting year if everything goes right so thanks for joining the team to help us out. We'll be working on the next promotional give away soon. And also just a note street team shirts can now be 'earned' by new members by showing us that you are hitting those streets and spreading the word about us. SHOW CANCELLED...
Unfortunately the show for May 28 at the North End Pub in Martinsburg, WV has been cancelled. We don't know many details about it except that the pub is apparently shut down for good. Sorry about that. More shows to come.

What?! An Update?!
God how long has it been since the last update? A year?! Anyway, a new fan photo has been added of Lauran Farley from Woodbridge, VA! Fans can send us photos of themselves from our TM Fans! page. She is also part of our street team and has been helping us get in contact with some places to play down there. We're working on getting some shows booked but also are in the process of continuing to write our album so things are moving a little slower than we'd like but we promise we'll be out there soon!

Tapered Mind off the Bill!
We unfortunately have to drop off the bill for the show that was scheduled for APRIL 15th due to the Mudvayne show being postponed to this date...Sonny's favorite band...sorry. We'll be looking to rebook a show at Mac's in the future. This show is still going on we just dropped off the bill.

SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT!
On February 19 we will be playing with a bunch of local bands including our friends Stuck in Kaos, who have worked so hard to put a benefit show together for the victims of the terrible tsunami tragedy that hit Southern Asia. Our goal is to raise at least $5,000 to donate to the Red Cross International Relief Fund and UNICEF. The show will be held at The Clarke County Fairgrounds Ruritan Building.
